Annual Winter Reading Series
Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris

The Provincetown Theatre Company’s Annual Winter Reading Series begins Wednesday evening, January 5 at 7:00PM and runs every Wednesday evening through February 23 at the new Provincetown Theater, 238 Bradford Street. There is a $5.00 suggested donation with no reservations required.

This year at press time the readings will feature the work of contemporary playwrights, authors, and original local work that includes Edward Albee, Christopher Durang, Eugene Ionesco, and local playwright Myra Slotnick. PTC is proud to present the stunning and controversial musical, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, a “cabaret style” production based on Jacques Brel’s music and lyrics. This show features brilliant lyrics that both celebrate and confront the universal issues of love, hope, war and death. Jacques Brel has been moved to the Paramount Nightclub, 247 Commercial street at The New Crown and Anchor. Directed by Anthony Jackman with musical direction by Casey Sanderson, Jacques Brel runs Thursday—Saturday, March 10-12, 17-19. March 10th and 11th are benefit nights for PTC and feature a raffle with door prizes and French-inspired food and wine. Tickets for these nights are $35.00; all other tickets are $20/$18 for PTC members, students and seniors.
